Ode to the jump start or does anyone even remember

So my roommate bounces down the stairways and claims she off to some chicks place to jump her car..
Apparently mackenzie is the new girlfriend of her dopey 19yr old .

I asked if she knew how to jump some one...

I asked if she even had jumper cables

Hell i even asked if she wanted me to do it

I get alot of practice on jumping things...but that is what one gets when one works for a cheap ass boss that wont replace the battery on things like the forklift

But is jumping someone a lost art?

It's definitely a lost art. Just like the bump start.

Hell, there are cars where you can't even get to the battery. If you don't know where the "jump posts" are, you'll never get it done, even if you know what you're doing...

Does anyone even have jumper cables any more? It seems to me it's a thing of the past. Much like rotary dial telephones and pagers. The next item going extinct will be analog clocks and watches.

And yes, I remember those too.

jumping a battery may be a lost art but I'm not getting rid of my jumper cables

I've always owned stick shift cars and, to me, "jump start" means two or more people pushing the car down the street till it's fast enough for the driver to let go of the clutch so that the motor starts.
