why does God create atheists?

Memorial day always reminds me of the year I lost my belief in God. Somewhere between Khe Sanh, Tet and Hue.
As a I was raised by an Osage family, to age 7. The Osage didn't have a particular religious sect or doctrine. While they believed, loosely, that everything was created by Wa-Kon-Tah. They didn't have an understanding of creation or life after death. When I say loosely, keep in mind the Osage believed warriors could become various animals in battle.
Later when I attended the methodist church I recall the preacher talking about how God created everything in his own image. To be loved and appreciated. That everything God has created is here to teach us a lesson.
If you believe in God and that everything he does is meant to teach you . .
What lesson is meant for you to learn from an atheist?
Atheists, by most religious definitions are heathens. Without morals, ethics and without a greater power to be compassionate towards others. An atheist doesn't believe that there is a God directing him to do right. When he is compassionate it's because kindness an compassion are part of his character.
It is an essence within his being, not a being within his essence.
So the next someone offers to help you, please don't say, "God bless you". Imagine that is no God to intervene and simply offer your help to them in return.
The question that an all-seeing, all-being God is the source of all kindness and compassion was answered for me in Vietnam.
If we have to answer to a higher being in the afterlife, I expect mine to be
Wa-Kon-Tah because I know what they say about warriors is true.

Wow, sounds like a Marine that probably still has PTSD from all of that. I was young enough to watch on TV, Huntley/Brinkly nightly news.

I always liked the one line: God made me an aetheist.
Maso, if you don't have free-will, who/what is directing you? Or perhaps you are a believer in predestiny...

Pre destination, in religion, is a doctrine that all events have been willed by God . . the eventual fate of all souls etc.

If "god" is so loving and kind, why is SHE so cruel to animals?

Humans kill them for fun and they are run over on the highways all the time, leaving behind vulnerable nursing babies doomed to die from starvation.

And, why must "god" be a male?

Only a female can make men kill millions during wars in the name of religion!

1uncommondom replies on 5/29/2018 11:34 am:
God, within the context of religion is an androgynous spirit, without gender and without comparison to humans of either sex.

Why do atheists try to force their opinions of no god on everyone else? Why is it so important to you to prove your right.? Why must you try to prove what you cannot prove. That you believe in nothing! Why don't you just go believe in nothing -Which of course is a contradiction in and of itself. But why don't go believe in NOTHING by yourself and shut the HELL up!

Calvinists and Presbiterians don't believe in free will either. According to them, we're all doomed to Hell and God saves a few of us randomly. Being good or bad makes no difference.

People can't be judged by what they say or do during desperate situations.
At those moments, they've become someone else.
It's about the same as judging the acts of a drunkard as representing what that person is while sober.

We don't try to prove the inexistance of gods. It's not possible.

Indeed, we'd ignore them, just like most everybody ignore Greek and Roman gods, if we weren't surrounded by aggressive believers who think we're the source of all evils.

Only atheists can be really moral and ethical. They live by laws they can understand and explain.

Religious people have commandments they gotta obey or else. Whether they make sense or not.

What they say is evil people have free will, but, since they were born evil, they're incapable of choosing God and, therefore, are predestined to Hell.

"We inherited the sinful nature and the unbeliever, the unregenerate can only act in accordance with his own fall in nature. In other words, he cannot choose to freely follow God because that is a good thing to do. Since he is a slave of sin, does not seek for God and does not understand spiritual things, he is not able to freely choose God."

https://www.calvinistcorner.com/calvinism-denies-free-will.htm

"Unlike Calvinists, Lutherans do not believe in a predestination to damnation.[114] Instead, Lutherans teach eternal damnation is a result of the unbeliever's sins, rejection of the forgiveness of sins, and unbelief"

"Calvinist Protestants embrace the idea of predestination, namely, that God chose who would be saved and who would be not saved prior to the creation. They quote Ephesians 1:4 "For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight" and also 2:8 "For it is by grace you are saved, through faith, and this not of yourselves, it is the gift of God." "

I see your point. It's predestination, not free will that I meant.
It's just our free will won't change anything if we're predestined to Hell.

Is our free will influenced more by religion or society?

In haste I replied to you and your guests. I am now going to attempt to do so more intricately.

I will begin with your post, and answer you to the best of my ability with honesty and sincerity.
Everything that I answer from your post, will be pasted into my reply, marked in quotations, with my answer to that segment written below it.

“That everything God has created is here to teach us a lesson.”
Never heard or read of this once, and, I do not necessarily feel it is true.

“What lesson is meant for you to learn from an atheist?”
That I don’t allow my heart to become bitter and hardened. And that I don’t blame God, for things that man has done.

“So the next someone offers to help you, please don't say, "God bless you". Imagine that is no God to intervene and simply offer your help to them in return.”
Now you’re not telling what you believe, you’re telling others what they should believe and what they should do.

“Wa-Kon-Tah because I know what they say about warriors is true.”
Yes. One can revert to become an animal. In essence, man is an animal when the spirit of God is not within him.

As for teaching us: The main source of our learning comes from The Holy Spirit, and The Holy Word of God.

“When he is compassionate it's because kindness an compassion are part of his character.”
There is a verse that speaks to this . . .
‘When Gentiles, who do not possess the law, do instinctively what the law requires, these, though not having the law, are a law to themselves.’

By the way, I was snooping around your blog earlier. Love the Jesus is watching you, joke!

Great blog man! A plane crashed and when they listened to the cockpit recorded conversation the investigators realized that neither pilot knew how to fly the plane. You could explain this by a new addition to Murphy's law. In fact you could explain a whole lot of shit with Murphy's law. Murphy is kind of a fall back God! For when the other God has left you heart broken and bereft. Consider this "if it fits like a glove, then maybe it is a glove!".

If you wanted to use a minimal amount of words, you could have dropped the article ‘The,’ and made Inquisition plural. Then you might have said: I have one word for you . . . Inquisitions! Since they were many and went on for many years - as in, hundreds of years. Me? Lol, I have never been known for brevity . . . I will however, tell you what I do know. One thing I know, is that the catholic church has done some of the most despicable, disgusting and evil things that have ever been done upon this earth! They, the organization - not necessarily the individuales inclusively, are often an exact opposite of what they profess to represent. I have already spent too much time and too many words on them. Now, I want to talk about something that I really know about. I know, deep down in the seat and depth of my soul, that GOD loves me. I know that His Mercy and Grace not only exist, but they abound. And perhaps the most important thing that I know, is that if God can love me and have mercy and grace for one such as I. Then I know that he must love us all. Evidenced by one verse alone: God Is Love! Have a nice day, and if you can, try to get beyond the inquisitions and the catholic church.

“Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself.”

It is time to leave religion behind. Early man needed religion to explain what he didn't understand. God was the answer. Lighting: god, or gods, are angry! Storms at sea: The god/goddess of water was angry at someone. God was, and still maybe the answer for things with no explanation, but not all problems and questions have answers! We don't need god anymore! We have learned to think and solve problems without a god in the answer. We have science. We know things now. We constantly add to our knowledge base. Is our knowledge perfect or total, hell no, but we learn more and more with each passing day.
Religion offers stale beliefs in cosmic sky faeries. Religion makes us slaves to someone's notion of how life should be lived. Religious people visit unspeakable cruelty on others in the name of their god. Religion seeks to control humanity, forcing mankind into lifestyles based on Heaven or hell. Religion seeks to keep mankind in ignorance, forced to suffer because the church is threatened by alternative ideas. We give up critical thinking and the ability to control our destiny for the chance to live in eternal orgasm, or be punished in a fiery hell. Worst part, there is no proof any god exist. People give up the only life they will ever have for a myth!

Religion is the biggest impediment to the growth, development, and progress of mankind. It is long past time we consign religion to The ashcan of History!

P.S. Ironically, in many "religious" countries around the world, we could be punished for being members of a Group like alt. We could be punished, even killed, for sensual activities we joined alt to enjoy. Have any of you done anything sexually for which you should be punished--maybe some of the slave in alt--or put to death for????

Serve me!! It is what you crave! jdxafn at hot....

I don't know. What did one of our presidents say on the subject?

"Lincoln said you cannot be President without spending some item on your knees. I have repeated that and a bunch of Atheists got all over me. Wait a minute. Does that mean that you cannot be President if you are an Atheist? I say yea that does mean that."- George H. W. Bush
